Cactus

This cactus is my aunts she said it was a Hawaiian cactus I know that it is amazing and a beauty, it has 25 buds on it, I hope to get more pictures....the flowers are almost as big as a dinner plate.

Turtle

I saw this turtle at the lake that I went to with hubby over the weekend.....
had been a long time since I had saw a turtle........Hubby said it was a lake turtle , it was a good size turtle......

Milk Thistle

In my riding last week I saw fields of this weed, I showed it to Daddy and he said that is was milk thistle and when he was growing up it was use as a medicine......
Well there's a lot of it growing this year I wonder if they still use it in medicines?

So what do you think is it thistle? and have you ever used it....

Daddy also said that they ate it when it was a young plant.....

Me I just thought it would make a good picture LOL

Yellow Cactus

I have saw about half a dozen of these yellow blooming cactus, but this was the only one that hubby slowed down enough to get a drive by picture......I saw one in the late evening that had blooms as big as a softball......My grand mother said they bloom at night.....

Pink Wild Roses

This must be a good year around here for roses....I have saw lots of wild rose bushes on the road side but I think this is the biggest by far......the rose bush was really full a few days ago but I think I caught it on the end of the blooming...
because I didn't see any new buds....
